Happy Monday

First of all, thank you to Chapters, First Comes Love... Then Comes Marriage, and The Hall Family for your comments about my oh so lovely occupation :-) It's nice to be reminded sometimes that I am not the only one going through frustrating times! Hopefully sooner rather than later I'll be able to find another job that will give me the ability to resign gracefully and move on to better things.

The weekend as usual went by in a flash, but there was a great balance of friends/activity and relaxation. I'm working a season job during the holidays to have a little extra $$ for Christmas and I had a call-in shift on Friday. Luckily they weren't busy enough to need me that night so I was able to go home and take me time getting ready to go out to dinner with out-of-town friends. I even had time to watch the Grey's Anatomy that I TiVo'ed the night before. (Side note - I'm a pretty loyal Grey's fan... but I'm predicting only one more season after the current one... Denny being back? It's getting a little far fetched...)

Dinner was a lot of fun since we hadn't seen these friends since this summer. The next day we went to the homecoming football game... the weather flirted with being rainy and nasty, but ended up being really beautiful... The only downside was the wind was bitterly cold, and I had dressed for rain, not wind. Oh well. Afterwards B and I went home to watch some more football then went to our neighbors for a cookout. The cookout was a lot of fun with quite a variety of interesting people... we are very fortunate to have great neighbors.

Sunday B had to work a lovely 12 hour shift, so Scout and I had a much needed lazy day. I finally came out of the fog I'd been in since my 3am wake-up call on Thursday, and spent the day watching movies, reading, entertaining Scout and relaxing as much as possible. It was WONDERFUL.

Today I'm busy preparing to be out of the office for 3 full days. Exciting vacation to somewhere romantic with the husband? Haha I wish! I'll be heading to Mississippi and Alabama for 3 customer service/check-in visits. It will be nice to be out from behind a desk again, and I'll tell myself riding in a car 8+ hours a day is fantastic! There will be 3 of us... me, my manager, and her manager (who is always late)... and none of us have a great sense of direction so this should be interesting :-) I'm taking the new Nicholas Sparks book with me though... I'm probably most excited about that haha.

Hope everyone has a great week!

I hear ya on the Grey's business... I said that Denny being back was too weird! Izzie is losing her mind!
Now that Der/Mer are together, there's not much drama left so everyone else is all jacked up. =)

Only 4 more days til the weekend!
