My company is surviving. We've overcome a LOT in the past 10 months. We still have a ways to go though... and everything is day by day. We're cut just about as lean as we can be, but $$ is still very, very tight. Key example... some paychecks have bounced... more than once. This happened before, I was called into a meeting, I was given a week off with the hopes they could bring me back after that. Naturally when the check thing happened again recently, and I was called into a meeting again, I was nervous. I prepared myself as best I could for the inevitable.
Well, I'm still here. Still employed. (thanks!!!!)So is everyone else. We're just hiring another salaried person.
I think the person chosen will be great, but I think the timing seems horribly off. Does this make sense to anyone? I'm trying to see the vision, but I'm struggling.

Oh boy, that would be scary! I've been in that situation too -- it is definitely tough to see the big picture and be a 'team player' when the hiring doesn't seem in line with already-existing budget problems. Hope things clear up soon!!
