What a Week!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! B and I squeezed 6 family gatherings into 3 days and spent about 10 hours driving back and forth between the gatherings (not too horrible), and it was soooooo great to see everyone! Our first Christmas together as husband and wife could not have been better!

When we were in my hometown for family gathering #2 Scout got to meet Winston, my grandmother's new 10 week old shih tzu puppy... he was adorable and Scout (the 70lb lab) and Winston ( the 3.5 lb puppy) played together so well! Scout was extra gentle and would lay down to be on Winston's level while Winston nipped and jumped all over Scout. It was precious.

Now I'm back to an almost normal work week. I get Thursday off from work, so B and I are planning on having some people over to watch bowl games. Having even just a couple days away from work and with family had a tremendous impact on my attitude and I've actually been extra motivated to get a lot of year end tasks accomplished today (which in turn makes the day go by much faster!).

With the new year approaching... has anyone given any thought to resolutions/goals? I want to continue improving my cooking skills and work on learning how to cook really healthy (but tasty) meals. B and I want to drink more water and just overall make more healthy decisions... you know the typical boring beginning of the year goals/good intentions. :-)

Do any of you have any suggestions for healthy meals/snacks?
