Weddings

Wow, it's been a week since I posted last.

And not a particularly eventful one at that.

Well, not for me anyways :-)

My Valentine's Day: not overly romantic but LOTS of quality time with the husband; that's better to me than chocolate and roses anyway (though I do love both of those things too...).

I realized this weekend when out buying a shower gift for one of my best friends who is getting married in June that B and I have a major wedding season ahead of us. The current pace is 1 in April, 2 in May, 2 in June, break in July (whew) and 2 in August... plus more friends have gotten engaged recently so there's potentially some more thrown in there as well. I love going to weddings and being reminded of how great new/true love is and how creative people around me are, but it makes me glad I got married last summer instead of this one. If I had 7+ weddings of good friends to go to plus the events of last summer (showers, moving into a new house, adopting a puppy, and finishing getting ready for my own wedding) it would have been crazy! I'm happy to instead just get to share and celebrate those wedding days with each of the friends and then return home afterwards with my husband and Scout.

However there is that oh so important question of what will I wear to these weddings... :-)
